JEM
“At JEM, we try to give direct, first-person access to the Rebbe’s wisdom through videos — whether for Shluchim, unaffiliated Jews, and non-Jews. Right now we’re trying to expand our reach and platform to touch people from every walk of life who need the Rebbe’s guidance.
We were really happy working with Shterna and her team. Right from the start, it was clear she was a really good listener, paying attention to what we needed, taking our feedback, and actually making changes. Some people just give you a piece and leave it, and you end up frustrated, but that didn’t happen here. She understood what we were trying to do, asked the right questions, and even in early conversations sparked ideas that made us think, “Wow, we’d love to work on this.”
A big reason we brought her on was capacity. We just don’t have the resources in-house to handle writing and messaging at this level. Having someone from outside also helped us see things we might have missed in our own bubble. She kept the process moving in a professional, organized way — weekly updates, asking for materials when needed, pushing things along — all without ever feeling pushy.
Even when we asked for some changes on the first draft, [Shterna] took our feedback, and turned it into something that reflected our priorities even more. She’s practical, professional, and flexible, and the process itself was really valuable. It helped us realize how we want to communicate, how to frame our work, and how to provide clarity for our donors.
We’ve already seen how useful the messaging guide and pitch deck will be as we grow, educate our community, and show donors the value of what we’re doing. Even though the project isn’t fully live yet, we’ve already gotten a lot out of it and are looking forward to building on this foundation moving forward.”
